This is the painting of “Godless”, chapter one in the Homerik story "The Circle of Dead Children". Homerik is creating a world, filled with characters, monsters and places inspired by Dante's Inferno but truly a work of its own. The journey of the soul through the afterlife is filled with perilous obstacles and gnawing creatures that seek to eradicate the soul into oblivion. In this painting, observe Morgana as she seals the deal with Evil witnessing her son, Dante, enter the inferno (Hell). Dante crosses the river of woe, the Acheron with his guide Virgil and the ferryman Charon into the first circle of Hell, Limbo. On the left is Morgana’s father, Adam, as well as her burning home.
